Spring Fire to Honor Former President George H.W. Bush

Early Thursday afternoon, the train carrying the former President will roll through Spring en route to President George H.W. Bush’s final resting place at his presidential library at Texas A&M University. The Spring Fire Department Honor Guard and firefighters will pay tribute along the train’s path. The honor guard will be located on Main in Old Town Spring and will dip the flags as the Presidential train passes through. Spring Tower 70 and Ponderosa Tower 61 will be set up on the northbound feeder road of I-45 over the tracks flying a large American flag flying between the two Tower buckets. All Spring crews will be in uniform and salute the train as it passes while helping ensure civilians are at least 25 feet back from the tracks.
