Born in Houston, Texas, Fernando began a fire service career with the Houston Fire Department in 2003. In 2008, he joined the Spring Fire Department Duty Crew and transitioned into the Logistics Division in 2018. Fernando became a full-time member of the Logistics Division in 2020.
