Administration
We have 25 volunteer, part-time and full-time personnel to handle the many facets of administration and support to provide the fire suppression, EMS first responder and rescue services to our vibrant community.
Finance
Our Finance Director, Senior Accountant, and Administrative Specialist manage our budget, investments, accounts payable and accounts receivable, keeping Spring Fire financially healthy and transparent.
Human Resources
We have a Human Resources Director, a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, and an HR Administrative Assistant who handle all HR, Insurance, Payroll, and Benefits related items.
Technology
Our Technology division has a full-time technology director and other staff to handle all technology which includes computers, servers, apparatus computers, access control, security, surveillance, audio/visual, and cloud services as well as all other technology related items.
Support Services
Support Services includes logistics, procurement of apparatus equipment, station equipment, personnel protective gear, uniforms and equipment, communications equipment, and SCBA (breathing air). There are 4 full-time personnel who currently maintain these different areas supervised by a logistics director.
Apparatus
Our apparatus division has a full-time full-time fleet director who is also an Emergency Service Technician and ASE certified mechanic. He is assisted by a full-time assistant to handle an ever-growing fleet of almost 50 different apparatus including staff vehicles, support vehicles, fire engines, rescue trucks, water tenders, and aerial trucks as well as specialized vehicles like high-water vehicles and UTV vehicles.
Facilities
Our facilities division is tasked with maintaining our 13 buildings and properties as well as overseeing new construction projects. We have a full-time facilities director and full-time assistant which are able to handle most tasks and also coordinate with vendors to handle items outside of their capabilities.
Health, Safety, and Professional Development
The Health, Safety, and Professional Development division serves the community by ensuring that all members of the Spring Fire Department, from the newest volunteer to the Fire Chief, is equipped to perform at their highest level as a person and a professional. This includes training, formal academic education, personal and professional development, mental health programs, annual physicals, and a safety officer program.
Strategic Services
Strategic Services is comprised of four elements, all enhancing the mission of the Spring Fire Department. Public Information provides crisis communications and manages civic engagements. Community Engagement & Outreach is tasked with designing and managing community outreach and engagement initiatives as well as managing organizational brand and reputation. Our Community Risk Reduction team is focused on collecting and analyzing data to determine the high-risk events and vulnerable populations in our community as well as designing and implementing programs that proactively decrease or mitigate risk through education, such as CPR classes, safe babysitting classes, and car seat installations. Our work in Planning and Accreditation is centered around ursuing continuous quality improvement models such as TFCA Best Practices, Safe Communities America, ISO, and CPSE Accreditation to ensure Spring Fire Department is constantly striving to stay at the forefront of public safety and confidently advocate for the best service models available.
